How long have you been working @ EMI & what was your first job here?
First job was in Perth, telephone sales in the W.A. Branch in 1995. Did promotions in Perth for 2 years before moving to Sydney in 1999.
Current role @ EMI?
Virgin Sydney TV/Radio Manager. I oversee all TV and radio based in metropolitan Sydney, service new product, set up promotions and set up artist interviews with these media.
What qualifications do you have or what on the job training did you do to get to where you are now?
Completed T.E.E. in W.A. (H.S.C. Equivalent). Commenced 2 years of a Business Degree at Edith Cowan University in W.A., however it wasn't for me and I decided I wanted to work in the music industry.
A day in the life….
Lots of liaising with media and the marketing department. Half the week is spent out of the office visiting the various media.

First job you ever had in the music industry?
Working part-time at a music store in Perth in 1992 while I was at University and then full time at Central Station Records when I moved to Sydney in 1993.
Then moved to Auckland, New Zealand to set up a new music store called Phat Wax, where I also spent some time DJ'ing. After 2 years I returned to Perth and started at EMI.
Most defining music moment?
Radiohead at the Perth Entertainment Centre in 1997.
Useful advice to someone wanting a start in the industry?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
